In a sense, difficult times can produce great leaders -- Lincoln in the Civil War and FDR in the depression. Inspiring speeches are important -- both FDR and Lincoln could catch the imagination of their listeners. He's young, smart, well educated, with the ability to tap into people's imagination. If any politician can lead us through the mine field we are in I do think it is Obama. Of course, he doesn’t have much competition with the previous President.
